This alliance of NGOs and partners bought a website that did not meet its needs for engagement, communication, and ease of use. What compounded this: the organization’s steadily increasing need to communicate more information plus its need for a higher level of functionality that went beyond the original developer’s scope.
InterAction asked us to make the website into a living communication tool that could continue to expand and grow with its ever-increasing needs, and to make the site easy for its small staff to update and maintain.
We slowly and steadily redesigned and redeveloped the website into a strong, well-functioning communication tool to engage InterAction’s target audiences and members. We upgraded the website design, created a mega-menu for one-click access to the most important information, built out a easy-to-search resource library (some gated, some open), overhauled the member working groups section, and streamlined the donation process to enable donors to contribute in a wide variety of ways with the absolute minimum number of clicks. To make the site and key elements easier to find, we added SEO, restructured events, and created a reports and results section. All e-learning components were brought into compliance with SCORM’s technical standards.
Now, the website grows with our client’s needs. New initiatives are easy to add in, even for new staffers, and information and resources can be found quickly by any audience.
