USAID CIDI Website
As part of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Center for International Disaster Information (CIDI) guides and informs the public, religious and community groups, diaspora, embassies, non-profits, corporations, and governmental organizations about the most effective ways to support international disaster relief and donations outreach.
Since 2012, we’ve designed and developed websites for USAID for CIDI, PSAID and internal uses. The most recent CIDI.org redesign was a customized, responsive website built on WordPress with advanced form processing, custom content types and PHP, and administrator training. Throughout the process, we collaborated on repositioning the agency through a brand and messaging audit, testing through the OFDA parent agency experts, analytics assessment and social media collaboration. We taught their webmaster the new standards to maintain the site daily.

Secure Diaspora Map
As part of its duty, USAID CIDI collects Diaspora Organization data and needed a way to analyze this data and make it easier to reach out to relevant Diaspora-managed NGOs for Post Disaster Outreach.
We developed a secure internal-facing only website featuring sorting and reporting mechanisms that allows CIDI to rapidly access relevant organization contacts for outreach via phone, email and social media to mobilize their local advocates or for other purposes. Each point of contact is easy to identify contacts and export the results in CSV format.
Pared with the front-end, we developed an administrative interface for bulk uploading and inserting new records without accessing the database directly. This included a comparison mechanism for deeper research more common to the DC HQ’s needs.
