Since 2012, InterAction has brought together experts and practitioners around results-based protection, a problem-solving approach that measures success in humanitarian protection as a reduction in risk to affected people. Its Results-Based Protection website shares that work with practitioners, leaders and donors around the world in four languages. Once the site’s original build wrapped up, InterAction needed a dependable partner to keep a complex, multilingual platform secure, current and growing.
In 2022, Back Pocket Media, already InterAction’s long-standing partner on interaction.org, took over care of the site. We started with a careful handoff, documenting every account, license and integration so nothing depended on the original developer, then set up a monthly maintenance program where every update is tested before it goes live. Along the way, we’ve set up translation for the Arabic, French and Spanish versions, given staff access to analytics, and kept the platform current as its technology evolves.
The result is a website that stays as dependable as the guidance it shares, helping humanitarian professionals worldwide find the tools they need in their own language.
