The Aga Khan Foundation wanted to transform their existing website, AKFUSA.org, into one that provides a more intuitive interface for its users and better embodies its brand values and supports their mission. We worked with AKFUSA’s Communications Team to redesign the architecture of their content and functionality, create a more modern but mobile-friendly user interface, and showcase their work through their stunning photo graphs and messaging. This fully custom website has over 50 pages of designed content, custom SVG iconography, custom shortcodes, a custom WordPress theme, multiple page templates and page builder templates, a pattern library, webmaster documentation, and speed optimization.
There is an extensive selection of filterable work success stories, volunteer interest form, map and list of upcoming events, eNewsletter signup and Google Tag Manager customization. At launch, the site also fully integrated with Blackbaud Luminate and included donation forms with Convio wrappers for a seamless user experience.

During the global coronavirus pandemic in 2020, AKFUSA had to get creative to transform its in-person fundraising events into a virtual trip around the world.
We used the base WordPress setup to create a quick microsite dedicated to this purpose featuring video birds-eye-view intros across certain countries. In 2021, it was expanded to continue the journey.
